Patrick Hickey Jr. is a full-time Lecturer of English and Assistant Director of the Journalism program at Kingsborough Community College and is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of ReviewFix.com. He's also a former News Editor at NBC Local Integrated Media and National Video Games Writer at Examiner.com where his work was mentioned in National Ad campaigns by Disney, Nintendo and EA Sports.
During the course of his career, Hickey served as the Editor-In-Chief of two College Newspapers before he received his BA in Journalism from Brooklyn College. His first book, The Minds Behind the Games: Interviews With Cult And Classic Video Game Developers was released in April 2018 and is chock full of interviews with legendary developers, in an ESPN 30-for-30 style that allows them to tell their story. Due to the success of the book, Hickey has signed a multi-book deal with McFarland to bring at least two sequels to the series.
In addition to journalism, Hickey Jr. is a voice-actor, having starred in the 2018 indie hit The Padre (also serving as English language Story Editor), from Shotgun With Glitters and is currently writing the story for the upcoming game, Tr.1.S, where he will also be performing voice-over duties. Hickey also plays the role of Rex in the upcoming indie game "Relentless Rex," which just completed a successful Kickstarter campaign and the narrator in "The Kaiju Offensive."
